Hello everyone !
I have installed the "Thanks module" (the following users say thanks to ... for this useful post) and I had the idea to make a similar one for events subscription.
I run a simracing league, where we post briefings of upcoming races where people just post their attendance for each event. "I'm in!" You see the thing.
Currently, I'm doing it old fashion way, by editing the first post of the thread and adding the name inside the list.
I would like to make it automatic, a bit like the thank module. "Following users say thanks" replaced by "Following users will attend:" ... Well, you see the point.
And they can cancel their participation, just the same way they can remove their "thank" on a post if they realize they have something else to do that day.
Problem:
The button must only appear on specific threads (on the first post) and only admins (specifig users group, that is to say), should be able to activate the feature.
(which is not the case for the thanks module)
Do you know if it's possible? If yes, how would you do it?
Thanks in advance !
