Hello
I cannot get my custom statusicons to work; I uploaded everything (tavern_new.gif, tavern_old.gif, tavern_new_lock.gif & tavern_old_lock.gif) and entered the prefix tavern in the forum manager. The old image is gone, but the new one doesn't display.
Any help? :)

I have now tried making the attribute tavern_; but still - nothing works. Please help!

You've changed the default in the style manager for that style to the right folder as well? Sometimes it can be really picky : (

Yes, the default works of course. It's when I put a custom one it doesn't display anything.
How exactly am I supposed to put it in the forum manager? Say it's forumsss_new.gif; what would I put there? forumsss? forumsss_?

From the help page:
Forum Status images are usually shown alongside the forum in a forum listings to indicate the read status.
This prefix must only contain alphanumerical characters, though the following are also allowed - _ / ., a folder name is also acceptable to be placed within the status icon directory.
The following images are currently in use for status icons, you will need to create images with the specified prefix to match.
forum_link.gif
forum_new.gif
forum_new_lock.gif
forum_old.gif
forum_old_lock.gif
So, if you enter forumsss into the prefix box, you need images named forumsssforum_link.gif, forumsssforum_new.gif, etc.

I realize this is an old thread, however, I needed to add a unique statusicon to a subforum. In forum manager I entered the prefix for the forum status image as cb_ . The images concerned are cb_forum_new.gif and cb_forum_old.gif. I uploaded the images to the /images/statusicon subdirectory. I refreshed the browser and the images have not changed to the new ones. Am I missing something? Thank you!

Problem solved thanks to Lynn in a comment made previously in this thread. I was missing "$forum[imageprefix]" in the template forumhome_forumbit_level1_post.

hmm...is it possible you are mixing up forum icons and status icons? i was thinking the prefix entry part was for forum icons...for the status icons, you should only need to replace the images...also...if you are using a custom style they will be in that styles directory most likely and not the forum root one ;)

Hi IggyP, thanks for the response. I solved the problem per the response just above yours. I had the correct images identified, but I had to make a change in one of my forumhome templates. I explained the fix in the previous comment. Again, thanks for responding!
