Kick banned user

I have seen an addon for this once before but it never worked correctly...

Is there a way to log off a user that has been banned. We have folks who are banned and still access the forums because they haven't or will not log off...

Seems there should be some way to log a person off your forum if they are spamming foul language or posting inappropriate materials... As it is now we have to wait until this person decides he/she has done enough damage and logs off.

Any ideas??

Uh.. Mr. and Mrs. Vbulletin developer... maybe a useful addition to version 4.0!!

I think there is an article in the articles forum on how to not show banned users on your Currently Active Users list. Then you just won't see them. There is a mod to kick a user off, but I seem to recall there was a problem with it though. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=163327

If I understand it right - with the default permissions - when someone is banned all they see is the "you have been banned" message. They can not see your forums, they can not see the threads,,, nothing. But it looks like they are logged on.

I think its been over a year ago, but I saw a modification that would log members out. But I dont know what ever happened to that modification, if it was kept up to date, or even who the developer was.

We have it so banned users get sent to another site, however when you click on the banned users name, and view their profile, they are :

currently searching forums
viewing a thread in some inconspicuous place.

My issue/concern is the person who is logged in , not banned....... Then thru actions gets banned. This person cannot be taken off your server. I will do a test but I dont believe they are denied access until they first log off.....

I do appreciate the comments!! BTW, I do have the kick plugin installed.. It worked on the very first person we tried it on and there after it stopped! So there ya go! :)

Just add following code to very top of header template:

Where usergroup 8 is banned usergrp
