Hello,
I am a member on a forum (i'm not an admin or anything) and a user is having problems displaying her avatar.
Her profile says that her avatar exists (and is a picture) but it doesn't show up when she posts, or when you view her profile.
What possible things could be affecting this?
It's not the usergroup issue, other people in the same usergroup have avatars that display perfectly fine.
Running vB 3.8.4
Thanks in advance.

The image might be corrupt and may need to be uploaded again,

We had a simular situation on our fourm, a member had the same problem, so she sent the picture to a Moderator, and he got it up by using the Moderator Control Panel, that indicated to me that the member had more than likely done something wrong, so you may want to have a Moderator with access to the Mod CP, try it from that end.

you can try a few different things.
if only she has the problem - clear cache files.
Upload a different image as user image see if that works. If not upload the image in the CP
Then upload the original user image again. see if that works. If not then have her recode the image with photoshop or sth. Just load the image and then safe it again as gif or whatever. This way you might remove corrupted bits in the image.
You can also Screenshot the image and then safe it again :D That would be really foolproof.
oh and of course recheck the dimensions of the image and what your forum allows...

The image shows on the profile when she herself views it (User CP -> Edit Avatar), however on posts and if someone views her profile (using member.php?u={id}) it doesn't show.
I will have an administrator/moderator upload using the control panels.
Thanks everyone.

It shows in her profile to her because it is in her cache. Tell her to clear her cache, as suggested above and I would guess it won't show for her any longer.

The issue has been fixed, thanks everyone for your help.
I'm not sure of how it was fixed, so I can't post.
Thanks anyway.
