Attachments not displaying for subdomain

Hi

I added a subdomain to my site last week - where the forums were only at www.mysite.com/forum, I now also have forum.mysite.com

Almost everything works fine - except for attachments. If someone posts an attachment while using forum.mysite.com, its not viewable on www.mysite.com/forum and vice versa.

I've changed the domain cookie to .mysite.com but it hasn't helped. Anyone able to help?

Maybe it is to do with the actual attachment URL.
For example:
forum.website.com will have an attachment URL of
forum.website.com/attachment.php?some query

whereas website.com/forum will have an attachment URL of
website.com/forum/attachment.php?some query

I'd suggest having the /forum as a redirect to forum.website.xyz
