A Patriotic style w/minor mods

I still have some tweaking to do (graphics and ads), but I wanted to get some opinions regarding: Load time, Readability, the Fixed Page background (gotta scroll down to notice), etc?

1.) Load time I can't really comment on as I'm on satellite, but it loaded pretty quickly for me.

2.) Readability I think is pretty good.

3.) As far as the background, not sure if its in your plan for the graphics work, but I would remove all the white from around the Constitution.

Other than that, looks pretty good. Let us know when you have all the graphics work done and I'm sure you could get some better critiques

You have a fixed width background with a fluid style forum. It might line up ok on your resolution, but it doesn't on mine. From what I can see on the text that is actually over your background (which isn't a lot of it), it's very hard to read. If you're gonna go with the old paper style background, it should be blank. The text under the text is too hard on the eyes.

I checked it on a widescreen and I see what you're saying. It looks like that graphic would have to be anchored to a table in order to do that. I'm about to rework the header anyway, so I think I'll use the top portion of the Constitution graphic as a background there and maybe try to center a flag graphic with about 10% opacity in page background.

The text seems to blend into the background just a little bit. Maybe make the text color a little bit more contrasting?

The forum does not use a lot of subforums - which is good.

The meta description is straight and to the point

I suggest you add "for patriots" at the end.

"Political discussion forum for patriots" - its just a suggestion.

Another suggestion I have is to add a political party section - and add categories for the constitution party and libertarian party. This would let people know they have a choice besides the 2 major puppet parties.
