Overview

If you are using DTO Garage or Garage Plus and also use vBadvanced for your site we've developed three modules to further integrate Garage functionality throughout your site. The modules are:

Random Garages
This modules allows you specify the number of garages to randomly display in either a horizontal or vertical layout. Additional display options are also provided.

Featured Garages
This module allows you to feature a garage for a day, week, or month. The selection of the garage is currently manual but an automated selection process is being considered for future releases of Garage and Garage Plus. As with the Random Garage module additional display options are provided.

Garage Statistics
This module provides a number of statistics including number of garages, number of members with at least one garage, models represented, and more.

Kolbi,
This doesn't look like an alt tag issue since but instead appears that there is broken tags in the html stream. Can you turn the module back on but set it so that only one garage is displayed? Once that is one please view source, save the contents of that to a file, and attach it to a reply here. I'll take a look at that and see if I can reproduce the problem.

Thanks!

Mark

Okay the Random Garage is now active.
http://www.2-wheel-planet.de/
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.2-wheel-planet.de
The issue only appear, if the chosen garage has a picture.

So you have to reload the page or the validator check a few times to get one with a picture and the reported issues.

Kolbi,
When I use the validator link I'm seeing other errors from this page that don't appear to be related to the module. If you turn off the module do all these go away?

At the minimum I'm not seeing display errors using my browser...only XHTML validation errors. Are you seeing some type of browser display problem?

Thanks!

Mark

Currently I have 194 errors because of the new vbseo upgrade. :(
But before upgrading I had 15 issues because of your random garage module.
Before installing it and then it is turned off there are no xhtml errors.

Display errors are not caused. Only xhtml validation errors.

mferguson
09-07-2009, 02:01 PM
OK...just wanted to clarify.

Since the Garage templates aren't XHMTL compliant yet I would suspect that you will also receive validation errors when viewing any user's garage page.

I'll add the alt tags to the vba module templates and send you a copy to test. Can you PM me with your email address so I can send them directly to you? If the testing looks good on your end I'll update the version distributed.

Thanks

As I mentioned in the other thread if you refer to our online help (found in your Garage menu or on our site under Support >> Documentation (http://www.drivethruonline.com/help/)) and look under the Administrator >> vBadvanced CMPS Modules section it provides information on installation and configuration.

Thanks!

Can I set more than one as Featured Garage ID?

mferguson
11-10-2009, 07:36 PM
No. It only supports one featured garage at a time. Also, in the 1.2.0 version of Garage Plus the system now auto-selects the garage of the day, week, month and, if you don't like the one it picks, there is an interface provided so you can select another.

Found some little validating issues in the dto_garage_featured template :)

mferguson
11-23-2009, 11:01 PM
Garage Plus 1.2 already includes a new XHTML compliant template for the featured garage as well as automatic, system based means of selecting the featured garage to display using the template. In the next few weeks I'll release the free version of Garage which will be fully phrased and XHTML compliant.

Thanks!

Sound great :)

In the next few weeks I'll release the free version of Garage which will be fully phrased and XHTML compliant.

Also interesting :)
But more and more I think purchasing the Plus version :)

Download doesn't work something wrong with the *.zip file.

mferguson
11-29-2009, 03:39 AM
We've not had any other reports of problems downloading the file. If you want you can go to our site and download it there. To do so just go to www.drivethruonline.com and click on the pricing page. Scroll down to near the bottom of the page and you should see a download option for the vBa modules. If you are using this with the free version of Garage be sure to download that 1.0 version rather than the newer 1.2 version that works with our latest release of Garage Plus.

Thanks!

Did you install the DTO Garage product (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=216529) first?

If it is installed please let me know as we addressed table prefixing issues many releases ago.

Thanks!

Table 'ahbdd_xxxxx.DTO_garage_vehicle' doesn't exist

Has this been resolved or do you need further assistance?

Im getting a conflict with the yaas awards plugin. I get this error with the awards plugin when DTO is enabled at the same time.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare construct_depth_mark() in /home/cobaltli/public_html/forums/includes/adminfunctions.php on line 1823

Id love to get these to work together

----

Edit. I deleted function construct_depth_mark from the awards.php file and it fixed the problem

Thanks for the update. I did a search through our code for Garage and we don't define or reference this function anywhere so I'm not sure why that would create a conflict. Regardless I'm glad you found a workaround. Let me know if we can be of any further assistance.

Best regards,

Mark

If you can please mark the modules as being installed and I can provide more assistance.

If you received this message regarding the module you have not installed a version of our Garage product. These modules are dependent on either the free version of garage (found here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=216529)) or our Garage Plus product found on our website (http://www.drivethruonline.com).

Thanks!

I know this is an old thread. I have Garage Plus on 3.8.4pl2, not advanced. Does anyone know of a similar mod that will display random garages on my forum home? Thanks.

I'm just wondering if the website DriveThruOnline with their Vbulletin products is still active. I'm trying to buy Vendor Tools but I can't.

http://www.drivethruonline.com/products/dto_vendortools.php

If anyone is still using this software please let me know.

I recently upgraded to PHP5.6 and vBulletin 3.8.11. Now my Garage pages no longer work. I get "this page isn't working" http error 500

Does anyone have any ideas?

I tried contacting the developers, but based on their support forums they haven't been active since 2015.
