I am at VB.com & ask a question.

I am told to ask over here.

I post it here & I get slapped with some infraction BS.

I try replying to the PM to seek help so I do not make the same mistake again, I am unable to reply to the PM.

As I consider weather or not it is worth all this BS. Now I have no idea how or where to ask what I need to know before I purchase.

Since you are unlicensed, you only have limited access to the forums.

Once you have purchased a license you will be able to post in our Paid Requests forum.

Offering paid work in the Pre-Sales section or for members who are not licensed is not allowed.

He has been a member since 04 too.... you would think it would be clear after 5 years lol

Maybe this new Piracy reports thing is working finally... lol

Rather than just say that, I get a BS violation?

The other STUPID part is that my question here is to help me determine if I want to purchase the license or not.

The longer you guys are at this the more anal it is becoming.

What is the question you have? The only thing we don't want you to do, is to start advertising your forum or anything like that - we don't allow advertising on here. So, just a straightforward question is fine.

I had asked about a skin theme & about advertiser/sponsors per forum.

I was PM'ed a violation that will never come off my record, I am reluctant to ask the questions a second time.

Funniest thing my same post is at vb.com where they said ask it here.

If you want a skin, you can either download one from here in the Styles forums, or there are several sites out there that make either free or paid skins. A simple google search on "vbulletin style" will get you many links.

You may add advertisers to your forum. I would imagine you may need some custom code if you have a specific way you want it done. You can ask in the Paid Requests forum for help with that after you have a license (non-license owners may not post in that forum).

The longer you guys are at this the more anal it is becoming. You where requesting designers of paid styles to contact you. Requesting paid work is only allowed in the Paid Requests forum and only open to licensed members.

You can start calling it stupid and anal but such an approach will not make any difference.

I was going to be a smart alek and say that you asked a question with a title of this thread, but I refrain. ;)

You will find that everyone here is helpful as long as you follow the simple rules and guidelines set down by the staff.

What good will a skin do you when you don't technically own vBulletin?
