I'm looking for a plugin / module that will allow a user to post in a specific forum using another username. The username actually doesn't exist, it keep the same member id, but just the name would be changed to another name.

For example:
My username on the forum is Jane Smith. Everywhere I post on the board it shows up as Jane Smith. However, if I post in a certain thread or subforum it will show up as Amelia Airheart, but if I click on that username to get the profile it will show everything about Jane Smith and will just have the Profile Tab (see below) showing the information on Amelia.

The board I'm co-admining is starting up an RPG and I realize the secondary names would of course have to be added to the ACP in order to be linked, which I know they have no issues doing. I have already downloaded and installed the Extra Profile Tab (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=208358) which is where all of the RPG information will go.

Hopefully this makes sense.

I know there's a mod somewhere to post as anonymous, but something like this would more than likely require custom development.

Thanks though, but yea, I'm not looking for people to post anonymously but basically link another alias they can post with. I saw the RPG integration hack but that seemed like too much of an overkill.

Just adding to let all of you know that I have figured this out. I've used the Extra Profile Tab in order to create a new profile field called Character Name. Then I've edited the postbit_legacy in a new template and added $post[field#]. Works perfectly! Thank you greatly.

Not sure if it will still work, but i think i once coded 1 like that, check my profile.
