vBulletin 4 and hacks/mod

I was wondering when vb4 be releasead
will the hacks of previous versions that we use
will work on vb4.

if u don't got me I mean
the current hacks/mod that we have in the Mods forum
can they works with vb4.

sure :) they all will work
some template edits may not work

but mods surely i think will work

vBulletin 4 is Rewrited. IMHO all mods not working with new version.. :)

Any modifications that uses templates somehow will need at least an update.

yea i hate when my tech admin (vb guy) upgrades the site and doesnt update the hacks and then i have to go back and do each one on all 7 of our sites skins SMH

thats why i am happy with lesser versions becoz mods are not able to find at everytimes
i am still using vb 3.7.6
when vb 4.1 will be released i would be using vb 4.0 as then about 10000 Mods will be out for vb 4.0

See it is a brand new thing and needs update , specially those which uses template have to be updated with custom tools^^

I thought it was all rewritten? So most mods will need code updates I think.

With vB 4.0 it is mostly the styling system that has been rewritten. Rewrite of other underlying code is scheduled for a later 4.x version.
