Hello!
I would like to know of the best and easiest way to uninstall VBulletin.
I currently have it installed on the root of the website. After playing around with it, I think that this is not the proper place. I think it should be installed in a subdirectory, maybe something called FORUMS.
Also, I have a valid license of VBulletin for one site, can I have a "test" site on the same machine. Maybe one placed in another folder called FORUMTEST? I would like to be able to test out features like styles, ad placements and others before putting it on the live site.
Thank you for your response!

Regarding the test site, yes you may have one. This is from the License Agreement (http://www.vbulletin.com/order/license_agreement.php?member=1):
If you have a valid Software license, you may set up an additional test forum in order to test code, template and database modifications. To make this clear to us and our license verification procedures, place it in a directory called 'testvb' and be sure to password protect it. It must not be accessible by the general public.

Alright, I will name it 'testvb'.
Thank you!
Now what about deleting it so I can re-install it in another folder?
What I was thinking of doing is to compare the files and folder from the original install and delete the same ones.

I've never done a move like that which is why I didn't comment on it. If I were to try it, I'd copy the folder to my harddrive, reupload it where I want it, run Install, shut down my live board, make a database backup, then I'd import a copy of my database to the new one created when I did the Install. Change the Site URL options. Change the StyleVar options. Change any file paths in Main CSS. Change the Attachment/Avatar/etc paths if they were stored in the file system. Test it out. Turn it back on.
That is just a quick blob on my initial thoughs on how I would do this.

There is no reason to uninstall it, simply move the folder & files via a ftp browser.
1. login via ftp broswer, cuteftp, fireftp etc
2. create a folder named forum
3. select all files and folders you want to move and move them to the new folder.
4. login to admincp, vbulletin options, reset url for forum.

OK, I see. Just copy the files over to another folder and go to admin and make the right changes.
I will try this tonight.
Thank you.
