How do i convert from phpbb3 forums to vB?

I want to know if impex will work on transfering from phpbb3 forum users and forums and post to vB 3.8.4? i need this immediately

sorry for double post but if i have a db on a vb forum and want to transfer all its members will it effect the database from the old one?
