Seriously, I haven't even bought my license or even my host yet and I already have like, 45 different things bookmarked so that I can download them as soon as I buy VB. I love many of these on here. I currently help run a IPB forum and after looking at the demo I love VB way more than IPB. The owner of the site keep's saying that IPB is the best, blah blah blah but I strongly disagree with him now. On IPB you cant get a mod that will forward banned member's to a completely different site! Go VB :up::up::up:

Just a heads up, there is a new version of vb coming out soon, most of the mods are thought not to work with the new version... so maybe go easy on the mods until we all know for sure what works and what doens't with the new version.
Good luck.

Dangit lol. Anny idea on when it would be coming out? Although I can always update it when they release the new one right?
Also, after updating do you have to re-do everything? Forums, posts, members etc

lol. Everyone needs to stop holding their breathe before they run out of air. Without knowing exactly (and i really mean exactly when) the version is coming out, along with how it looks or how much support it'll have initially (if you think it's going to have a fraction of the mods at first - you're in for a treat), holding back is really just a big set up at the moment.
Just my two sense.
But yes, this website is a great resource for any vBulletin owner. Download away ;)

When the update does come out and I install it, will I have to re-do all my category's and forum posts and have all my member's re-join?
If so, I don't know if I would want to update lol

Well no, it won't be taken to that extent but virtually every modification (add-on) will have to be re-written.
All your data is stored within tables in your database, so essentially an upgrade process will always keep your data intact and ready to go. Lets not keep this topic off-subject though! The guy was thanking the org :p

No, thats all data, which remains intact.

Awesome lol. Anyways, I wasn't expecting to find so many mods for it and I came here and was like :D:D:D
But I wish I could look at SS to see what they look like :(

Plenty of folks will run older versions of the software for ages after newer ones come out rather than deal with incompatible or lack of updated versions of mods/hacks. I admit to being guilty of this myself.

vBulletin.org is definitely a great website for resources, and some of the mods that have been released over the years have been truly amazing. As for vBulletin 4... don't worry too much. vBulletin 4 is only in Alpha at the moment, and quite a few mods and such probably won't even be needed when it's released.

Every time I come here (vbulletin.org), I feel like a kid in the candy store.

Is there a paid mod section?
If so, how can I get to it?

I would suggest not to go overboard installing mods at first, the more you add, the higher chances of a security exploit on your forum ;)

One of the best statements I've seen all month ;)
Pick and choose carefully, functionality over looks bar none.

Check here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=30) (if you're a licensed member)

I'd recommend looking here (vB4 introduction) (http://www.vbulletin.com/vbulletin4/), here (vB4 FAQ) (http://www.vbulletin.com/vbulletin4/faq.php) and here (vB4 announcements) (http://www.vbulletin.com/vbulletin4/announcements.php)

I guess I totally mis-read what you said. I thought you meant there was a section to "buy" exclusive mods. I knew about that section.

as Loco already said, do not install too many mods at once. You need to get a feel for what your members like and don't like. Also, dont throw too many new features at them, all at once. Little by little is a better approach.
