I would like to restrict my new registered members to an introduction thread before they can access the rest of the forum.

Does anyone know how to do this?

One way I can think of would be to use the Cyb - Advanced Permissions Based on Post Count (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=201285) mod and make it so that members with less than one post can't view the rest of the forums.

Another way, which I think might be a lot more difficult, but possible, would be to set it up based on promotions. Like you could make it so that at first all members are put in a membergroup that can only see the intro forum. Then you could set up a promotion that would make it so that after one post everyone is promoted to a different primary membergroup that allows them to see all the forums. Access wouldn't be instant, though, since it'd be using the promotions system.

Those are the two ways I can think of. I'm new to this, though, and I'm curious to see what others say.

p.s. I hope I understood your question right. Now that I re-read it I'm not so sure I did. lol I hope you get the answers you are looking for. :)
