VB Warning System Advice

I recently upgrade my site and I have been using the Inferno Warning System for some time now and worked great. Now that I am running VB3.8.3 and it comes with its own warning system do most of you use the built in version or use an alternative like Inferno Warning Systems. I see there are some feature that are lacking on VB's version like protected groups and keep all warning logs..

What are you all using and why

The infraction system is most commonly used (built in)

It does keep logs of all warnings/infractions.

The default, as I have no other needs or requirements.

Is there anyway to protect certain usergroups from getting warned or issued points such as Mods, Smods or other usergroups?
