Hi everyone,

As far as I know, soft deletion notices are only visible to moderators and admins but I would like to ask if there is a setting in VBulletin that allows regular users to see deletion notices while keeping the Can See Deletion Notices > No setting in their usergroup? Some of the staff members in our forum said that when they were still regular members, they used to see those deletion notices. I don't think something has changed in our forum so I am wondering besides the Can See Deletion Notices option in the usergroup permissions, is there anything else that affects the viewing permission for deletion notices?

Thanks in advance! :)

btw, is this suggestion implemented? Link: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1597827 ?

There are two options when deleting a post or Thread> Soft' delete - Leave "Deleted" Message Or Physically remove.
The soft delete as far as I know will leave it so members cab see it's been deleted where as he physically remove deletes it all together.

Hi New Joe,

Thanks for replying!

Yup, I know soft deleted post along with the notice will be left in the thread but they won't be able to see the deletion notice if their permissions for Can See Deletion Notices is set to No. So I am wondering, if it is set to No for regular users, is there anything else within Vbulletin that can make them see these soft deletion notices.

If you have users in the Primary Users but also in the Additional Users in the user group make sure that the Additional Users group have also been set to their permissions for Can See Deletion Notices is set to No.

I hope that helps.
