Well I'm not a guy but I think it looks great. On your forum index, on the upper right hand corner there is a fairly large black space. Not sure if that is supposed to be there or not but it kind of makes the header look off balanced.

Other than that silly thing, your fourm looks great.

Well done  The theme fits your niche nicely.
I agree w/the last statement concerning the "void" in the header. That can be easily fixed though. A header template edit and a quick visit to photoshop and you should be able to push the car image all the way to the right and use a slice of the center to repeat to maintain your style in fluid format.

Thanks for the comments. The header that is something that has long since bugged me as well. I understand what you mean about taking a slice of the design to use as filler, and that is no problem at all. But I'm not sure how I code that as I'm new at some aspects of this.

Would either of you be able to give me an example of how I would put that into code?

ok lets see what can be said here.

The header + Navigation are big.. You can definitely improve that , and your header is not expanding accordingly , leaving a big black spot on the right side ! , which just seems like a waste of valuable space ( ULTRA VALUABLE on the header ) ...

The rest of the forums are "ok" Nothing impressive however , it can sure need a face-(forum)-lift , i would say , starting from header, working on to the forum views and topic views , with some more customization on the icons :) ..

footer is good , i like it .

Regards
