Lots of customization and some cool ideas (I like the thread count being displayed to the left of the title). Some of the color choices are a little iffy to me, such as the admin post green, the pink / magenta strip behind the post buttons, etc. There's a few default vB icons which could be done better as custom (such as post_old.gif) but overall, it's a nice and unique look. I'll give you credit for all the customizations alone.

Not that it matters to a front end visitor, but as a semantic markup nazi, I have to ask why you chose to use nested table markup to make this skin, over semantic html / css separation. Spending all the time on customizing, I'm just curious why it wasn't set up to make it easier for future themes to be made off of your same markup.

Also: I actually think if you spend some time altering the navbit, and quote templates, you could probably come up with something ten times better than the vB defaults which are there now. Maybe even putting the login form up in the top strip where it says, "You must login to use this feature" (and actually, speaking of that.. what feature? I don't know what it means as a visitor. Perhaps be a little more insightful as to what it is / means).

On your forum homepage, I think you should show 7 "Recent Members" in that block, instead of 6. So it lines up more with the box beside it. I am also not a fan with that pink strip. It should just be invisible (not there). Although, I have to disagree with KT, I like the green background when an administrator posts. It lets you know easily who the administrators are.

What a wonderful skin!

I'd also love to see the login up in that top black bar, beside the "You must login to see your cart!", but have it vertical, instead of pile on itself like it is now (if you know what I mean).

Also, click the "Community" drop-down link. I think that it doesn't match a thing. It should change colors or something.

I also very much love where the replies are to the left, and rating and last post to the right. The way you have it just makes the skin amazing.

Hey its looking good...yet im not "feeling it" .. its a design website , and well , its not getting to me , i like your concept , its very nice , the whole layout is well organized , simple , to the point..

Maybe you want to check out some CSS websites or something of that nature ..

Overall , i think you have a very unique site , which i like , good customizations on the forums , and other parts of the site , it can be improved greatly of course , But thats just me :) .

Until next time.

Hello, Thanks for the feedback so far!

I have changed the tabs to rollover ones as you can see when you hover over the links.

Also I'm not finish with the design yet I still have a lot more to add on to the site.

As for the login being at the top, if you click Site Login at the top you will see a pop up with the login form in it which is why I didn't add it elsewhere.

Thanks again,
Dominic

I agree. And I think the issue me and Xtrato both are seeing is that your designs are somewhat of a web2.0 structure on a web1.0 design. Reminds me of pixel designers back in the day.

Hello, there are plenty of public Page Loaders around the web that could be used on sites. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=page+loader

Google is your friend. :P

The level of customization definitely gives it a "not just another forum" feel, even if it's a bit bubble-gum for my taste. I also like the "Replies" on the far left.

I also don't 'get' the sudden huge olive block when everything else is predominately greys and blues... it keeps it from feeling like a unified theme.

Nitpicks aside, awesome work customizing it. You've done 10x more than I know how to do, and it has a very polished, custom feel.

Hello vBulletin community,

I've released my new version of That1Design, I've worked tons on it to get it just perfect. Any suggestions would be helpful, I've done a lot of my own mods such as the tabbed latest posts at the bottom and plenty more.

Let me know what you all think and also any suggestions you may have.

If you find any errors please post them as well.

I must say this is really good styling, and I would expect no less. There are a lot of invididuals out there these days that claim to be designers but their work does not reflect that. However your design clearly does.

It's excellent, but there is a visual bug (only minor) - on forum.html the purple 'Latest Discussions' box has a break in it in Firefox 3.6

Thank you for your feedback! :)

As for the latest discussions could you take a picture for me as it looks fine in Firefox for me? What OS are you currently using?
