How to restrict the size of pictures in user profile albums

I have a user with stupidly large pictures in his private album (accessible through his profile page). How can I restrict the size of the pictures users upload to these albums? For normal albums I have the size fixed at 600x600 but a private album would appear to be unaffected by this rule?
