Admins & SMods forum password permissions

i was wondering how i can disable the option so that admins & super moderators have to enter a password to view the forum. Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find it :( so im here requesting your help!

Have to enter a password to view which forum? password protected ones?
I've never come across this issue before, can you be more specific? The forum in general?

basically my site has a staff area.

The admins can bypass the password field.
SMods can bypass.
But normal moderators cannot.

What is the reasoning behind this? The regular vB permission system has many benefits above using a password.
