Hey, I have my domain on a reseller (and I am the only domain so far), and I put the incorrect details for my mySQL database (not used to cPanel). My users have tried to connect and because of the failed connection it's resulted in mysql locking out my host.
The error:
Database error in vBulletin :

mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Host 'hosting1.{host}.net' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'
/home/{me}/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 311

MySQL Error :
Error Number :

Classname : vB_Database
MySQL Version :
It's telling me to flush hosts, so I tried running it and it returned this error:
#1227 - Access denied; you need the RELOAD privilege for this operation
I don't have privileges.

Now my question is:
Can only the server host flush hosts, or should I be able to do it? It says hosting1.my host.net has been locked out (the whole server?), so does that mean only the server admin of hosting1 can flush it?

Edit the sql user you created in cpanel, check and see what permissions you gave the user.

Even as a reseller, we wont know what permissions were given to your account, you should be asking you reseller for that info.

I'm no good with this cPanel stuff :(
I created a new user, reload wasn't a privilege.
Only privileges I can give:
SELECT
CREATE
INSERT
ALTER
UPDATE
DROP
DELETE
LOCK TABLES
INDEX
REFERENCES
CREATE TEMPORARY TABLES
CREATE ROUTINE.

Guessing it's a host's job?

Yes, talk to your host.
