so im getting a free cpu upgrade but is there anytthing i should do with my server to have it adapt with two physical cpus?

Not in most of the cases, but why not ask your host?

im on unmanaged so they cant help me and my sysadmin is on vacation which is typical.

Your host is the only 1 that knows what have been changed and if any software updates are needed.
