A lot of spam bots lately, what to do?

Over the last couple weeks it seems Im getting a lot of spambot posts. Seems like a couple a day lately.
I use CAPTCHA and whatever, but they seem to be getting past that.
What can do to stop this?

Yeah about 60% of "bot" coders have been upgrading to do that. What you need is, Advanced Captcha Image system, its a module and easy to install, after that and they are still spamming then only make their accounts to be activated by you.

In other words, make them verify their email to activate their account is one way, but you can have it to send a PM to you to verify it via forums.

The bots bounce off my forum, I have had only 2 manual spammer sign ups in 4 months.
