Permenant Announcements?

Is it possible to make 'dominant' announcements which will never get overridden/moved down by other announcements being posted?

For example if you want a specific 'Rules' announcements to always be visible at the top, yet allowing other announcements underneath it to the follow the general pattern of being moved down by newer announcements.

You could edit the FORUMHOME template and put a "global announcement" into it under the Navbar or where ever suits your fancy..
But then I think you might get it on all pages, not to sure!

I don't think that would help him out since the global announcements would still continue to work the way they had before ...

You could use the ad location just under the navbar, and insert the announcement there. That way other announcements would appear under it, and it will always be visible.

I think that is ad_navbar_below template, or something like that.

That ad location is there so you can insert banners, but it can display anything you want.
