Bingo! the new vB skin in 9 colors...

Here is my latest creation Bingo -the new professional vB style comes in 9 colors! Yes in 9 color variations...

For vb 3.8.3

The highlight of this skin is it uses only one vB templates and 9 Cascading style sheet, it means you have to customise or update only one template each time not 9 and the colors changes without the page reload - this is done using Js...

There are 2 xml file, the only difference is the design on forum home page :

1) bingo - default forum home in vB3x.
2) bingo_forumhome_vb4 - the forum home looks similar to vb4x

Use the one you like...

Few instructions to follow:

To enable the latest Threads to display on the footer:

1. Go to 'vBulletin Options>vBulletin Options>External Data Provider'
2. Set 'Enable External Javascript' to 'Yes'
3. Set 'Cache Lifespan' to any given value between 1 to 1140 Rread the description for further information. For the quickest turnaround time on new threads, set to 1. Note: This causes the data provider to use maximum resources)
4. Set 'Maximum External Records' to 5 (recomended or the footer will look crap).


To add your blog link:

1. Go to 'Styles & Templates> header
2. Find > <a href="faq.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[faq]</a>
3. next/below to that, insert the following code:

Changing the logo to yours:

Psd files for the header logo and the footer logo are zipped for your convenience and you need to insert your logo or text and save in all 9 colors bg - which you will find in both psd...

Keep the same size for the logo as in psd, the same width and height or it may break the design...

Addtional info:

Button psd are provided in the zip for translation purpose and i have already created the "Thanks" and "Groan" buttons which are inside the button folder...

The skin passed the validation, 100% HTML 1.0 and CSS level 2.1

Do not remove my copyright text at the footer 'Design by Minerskinz.com' if you want to remove the copyright make a donation and PM me with your forum URL...


Please click install if you download the skin and if i reach the 100 installed mark here, i will release my next new free skin...

do not add more then one or 2 links as it will break the header design when viewing in 1024 width, just check once you make the changes...

I have vbadvanced links directory installed and other styles work ok with it but this style is causing images to be missing.

Instead of pulling images from www.mysite.com/images/styles/bingo/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif it is inserting /links as in

www.mysite.com/links/images/styles/bingo/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif

I can't find where to change this link. It is definitely this style doing it

Sorry i am not sure how to solve your issue as there is no space in the login part on the header to accommodate the facebook codes, thats the reason it breaks the login box...

I noted this issue and will rework the design and codes on next update vb4x...

i have some problems with the menu when using this with FF and Google Chrome.

When you go on my site, you won't see some menu's
like the "Register" tab etc etc...

I don't know what's the problem of this. Everything works just fine with IE but not with FF and Google Chrome??

I'm also having the issue of adding more tabs to the top. I would like to add a Chat tab, but when I do, guests can't view any tabs.

Is it also possible to move the tabs to the right? So they're to the left of the login sticky note box?

Also, there is an image below the light blue forum-nav bar (with Quick Links, UserCP, etc). Is it possible to remove this image? If I set a different background color for the page, this image looks ugly. I already made the sticky note login box transparent, so that's not an issue.

It looks like you have to edit the header and headerinclude template. There's a long that says something about style is none, so I think you just have to change that.

Also, none of the JavaScript downdown boxes are working in vbAdvanced, but they work fine on the forum page.

the style was working perfect with IE, and Firefox 3.5

and when install Firefox 3.5.2 , i got blank images in the whole style
the style became without any css effect and looks like white page

Of course, you need to create the phrases choose_color, latest_threads and navigation in the GLOBAL language section of your vBulletin.

1) Firefox 3.5.3 don't shows tabs " * Register * Forum * Community * Today Posts"

Anyone come across this behaviour of the Bingo skin with I.E 8...i have several users who report that the skin works fine in firefox but not in I.E 8 to compound the issue i have users who also state that it works fine in I.E 8 on their wide screen laptops but not on their Home PC's...for myself it seems to work fine both on my laptop

The issue primarily seems to be with the login box on the top right hand corner not coming up right...

Thanks for this great skin foruma-z! I haven't tested it with IE8 as I refuse to install it on my machine, but I can say with Firefox it works flawlessly. I made a few customizations to it other than adding my logo such as a gradient effect on the footer and drop down menus for every link on the header.

To add a drop down menu tab, first you need to edit the HEADER template. For my site I added a custom drop down menu tab right after the Forum tab so if you want your tab in a different place than mine you will have to place it before or after the existing tabs you want it.

1. In HEADER template Find:

We used the Facebook skin, but decided to integrate more with our identity, so taking the "red" skin as a starting-point, I matched our colors.

Sorry i am not sure how to solve your issue as there is no space in the login part on the header to accommodate the facebook codes, thats the reason it breaks the login box...

I noted this issue and will rework the design and codes on next update vb4x...

I placed FB login code in a USC (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=175181)right column but no button appears, just 3 flashing dashes like the program is trying to connect.

FB Connect button works fine in the vB default style, in side columns or anywhere else I place. Testing on latest vB 3.8 version.

Facebook Connect button displays within the 'header' section. Instructions:
In Bingo 'header' template, find

and below add the Facebook Connect button code

when u import the style select "ignore style version" . that should solve your problem

I have a problem, I upgraded my forum to 3.8.5 from .4 and now well the navbar is duplicated, on top is the custom one and then below is the default!

Edit: Hm, a large difference in the table layout that I notice is that your site has the thead for the forum listings, but I don't see anything about it in the files you uploaded. Perhaps the problem stems from there?

@ZomgStuff: Simply reload the bingo.xml in a NEW style. Then delete the old one. Should solve your problem.

I tried that, multiple times, with both the Vb4 and the regular XML files. I also tried reloading all the forum files as well. :confused:

Are you sure you have got the latest version of this style? Maybe you should load it directly from minerskinz.com

Just reload the style. While you were upgrading your forums it probably overwrote the stylechange in the navbar template. This style places its Navigation in the header template. Kind of wrong, imho, but still works ;)

Wow not that there support was all that for this skin!! Sorta holding back from purchasing or installing any more skins from them if they cant support their skins!
