How do I get my forums first when searched on google, yahoo, etc?

Is there a place where i can put tags, etc.

That is called page rank. As more and more people use your url or more and more searched on google, your page rank goes up.

Firstly you need your site indexed by google. Submit your URL to google.

Once people from all over start using your URL, then it will makes its' way to page 1. :)

How do I see or know if im page1? just by googling it im guessing?

You make a google analytics account to view the information about your site. Google gives you an html file to upload to your root directory. It will track EVERYTHING, such as where the people are from that use your site, how many visits, how long they stay, what browser they use, and more.
