You are not alone, lag is terrible at present, it has to be said that other sites appear to be affected too,Google was having big problems and Twitter crashed earlier ..... all down to a certain whinger "singer" dying apparently.

Both vB.org and vB.com are occasionally very slow for me now.

Both sites appear to have been in trouble since 4pm (uk time), a ddos attack ?

Currently, I have to wait for 1 minute before every page load and sometimes it says "server not found."

It happened again today. I guess the servers are experiencing a heat attack. :)

the org and com have been slow for me the last few times I've tried to access them
in fact, I was going to check out the "server issues" post on the .com earlier and the connection timed out..lol
kind of ironic

We have noticed and reported lately:
1. youtube vids dont load, or stall half way thru
2. google mail crashes very frequently/fails to load
3. firefox slower than 'shudder' internet explorer

What has this to do with vbulletin.org ?

What has this to do with vbulletin.org ?
Its probably due to IB taking over vB.

And how does that relate to vB slowing down and Youtube, google or firefox?

Oh apologies, it has everything to do with general web browsing.
My point was, using Firefox/Internet explorer to access sites with high speed high bandwidth servers, such as those I presume vb.org/vb.com utilise.
This is also reflected by other large sites, such as google youtube etc, who also appear to be suffering extreme lag at present, when viewed using ff or ie, even chrome.
We have tested on several machines, and even pinged vb's site to test our connection ping.
It appears to be more widespread than just a general local issue.
Hope this helps, answer your Q
