home page help

as i am new to this v bulletin i am learning some thigs by reading members posts,but what i want to know if anyone can help ?
i have v3.8.3 version and i would like a home page where i can put images,news,etc instead of the forums showing.
is this a mod ? if so can anyone please direct me to the appropriate mod or thread so i can do this.
if not can anyone please explain in full details on how to do this.many thanks for you help

under your server..

u can see public_html
under that folder create a folder and name forum
and add all the vb files to the forum folder

and make a html or php file and name index.html or index.php

and uplaod under public_html
(dont forget to add the redirect link to www.yoursite.com/forum/index.php :D )

You added a Mod for 3.6 but the OP has 3.8?

Will this work, as I have 3.7 and I would like something like THIS (http://www.clevelandracing.com/) for my forum but not sure where to find that.
