Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help me, locate/ do mods for vBulletin.
There are three features which I would love for my forums. These are as follows:
Custom Drop Down List Information in postbit.
What I mean by that, is in the USERCP for profiles, I would like them to select if they are Male or Female, and it shows in the post bit as Sex: Male or Sex: Female or if they don't say anything, then it's blank.
Example:- I am a male. I select this from the menu in Edit my Profile, and when I post it comes up with either a picture that represents Male or simply under "Posts: 800" it says "Gender: Male"
At the bottom of a thread it says who is viewing it and if applicable, who is replying to it.
Theoretically this can be done. But how, I have no idea. The idea is at the bottom of the thread, above the footer it says stuff like this:
User 1, User 2, User 3, User 4, User 5
They'd be displayed in order of activity, where if you hover over them it shows whoever when they last read the thread, and italics are were people are replying to the thread.
I've seen this somewhere else, however I think that was for IPB [Which, I shall not use, as I am a vBFan lol]
NO UNDER 18's ALLOWED!
Basically, I want my user registration form, to deny registration, to anyone under the age of 18. This is because my forums are adult based, and I've been getting 14 year old sexed up pervs coming to the site [Which have had to be banned].
I know they could lie about their age, but I need to protect my ass, and then I can turn around and say to disguntled parents "We have placed an age limit on the forums, however if your minor has lied to us about the information provided then it is you that is at fault for not watching what they're doing. Don't take your faults out on us, until you're parenting skills are perfect"
[Okay, something along those lines, nicer probably. But you get the point]
Just had a few emails from parents in the past, and one just a few hours ago, who is trying to threaten legal action against me... [To no success, luckily she doesn't have a ground to stand on. But I've had to hold ALL registrations, until I get it fixed, as my web host has ordered me to.]
