Vbulletin Blog the only Blog option?

I sear and found that some BLOG mods no longer runs on 3.8.3 or they are on HOLD..

Is the VB Blog the only option?

There is some good discussion on vbsetup about blogs for vbulletin (http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f20/blogs-vbulletin-28879.html#post87343)
That link goes to a users post that is using Durple for an integrated blog, might be worth checking out.
