We are currently working on different styles for mod...
the orange design is temporary one and it can be changed or modified easily..
we are releasing it for different platforms like joomla, phpizabi, boonex community builder, phpbb and many more 63 platforms, we are already working on that..
vbulletin integration is our first release. but i hope we will be able to launch vbulletin custom page integration by tonight...

As stated earlier, v 3.2 is totally different from v 8.0.0 Gold.
V 3.2 works by putting imported contacts in BCC field which is not the case with V 8.0.0 Gold.
The mod works perfect.

How server intensive is this if it has to check against 330 000 email addresses?
well its not that server intensive if you are checking against 3 to 4 databases (like if you have joomla, phpbb, vbulletin and some other database and you wanna check against all those for registration status). But if you are checking against 4+ databases then it will put very lil load.
We are currently working on that thing, optimizing script for at least 10 databases. Also we are developing such a facility that will check remote databases(if you are running more than 2 websites and you wanna filter out imported members from all those databases). :)

Sorry, currently we are providing only English version.
Although you can translate it to German if you want because there are less than 10 english statements need to be translated :)

The one which is attached here sends only predefined message set by site owner.. Users are not allowed to change or attach anything new to it.
About 1st step as invite, if you are really interested then i'll code 1 for you and post in this topic till tomorrow morning (IST). I will PM you when its ready. :)

The mod always sends predefined message to selected contacts but it also attaches custom message written by user to the original message. And it is displayed independently.

u can make tow differen appear for site owner to choose
one like default and another as 2 groups :one for e-mails site provider and the another for social sites
and also with logo for each one

Note : The members are asked to invite their contacts at the end of vbulletin registration process. Script will automatically filter and select non-registered members from the imported contacts list.

May I ask another thing: does this only work during the registration process? Is it possible for existing members to invite their friends?

- It could be a problem due to different formats of different versions. But solution is why dont you convert XLS to CSV first and then import contacts from CSV using our CSV importers. :)

* History of issued invites, with color highlights and options to purge pending, expired or rejected invites.
* Daily invite reminders and expiration notifications, can be turned off if desired.
* Ability to define how often reminders can be sent.
* Ability to reject received invitations.
* Ability to permanently opt out of receiving future invitations, with automatic marking of invite as rejected and with an admincp database management interface.
* Automatic prevention of invites from being sent out to already registered e-mails.
* Automatic prevention of invites from being sent out to the same e-mail multiple times.
* It is possible to either keep registration process open or to restrict it to invited registrants only.
* Ability to define users as "First Friends". Such users become mutual buddies with all new registrants, whether invited or not.
* If registration is open, the number of invites each member owns is unlimited.
* If registration is private, invites are allocated automatically at the end of each week based on activity. That can be turned off from admincp.
* If registration is private, expired and rejected invitations return invite credit to the issuer's account.
* As an alternative to automatic allocation (which can be turned off), there is an "Allocate Invites" tool, which gives you an ability to give out X invites to members that match a certain criteria.

Octazen used to be my favorite one too. I used to have one for myself. But it doesnt provide any of AdiInviter features except for only importing and sending invitations to all your contacts. Also it sends invitations in PM box for social network contacts where adiinviter sends it as a scrap.

I just downloaded it, I know it might sound bit stupid to you, but as i understand i m supposed to upload the files of the MOD to my server, what i want to know here is,

the upload folder contains "config.php" what should i do with that? Just upload that to root?

I understand octazen does that, but it has a nicer interface, and has been tested before, I dont think having only Gmail/Yahoo will make anyone use it, I know you want people to buy the paid version, but then you should have just made the demo and a paid version. But the free version is mostly useless without at least windows live.

One more thing, you should really really work on the interface, the icons are so confusing, align them together and improve the quality of the images

You should have made a promotional discount or something, because as long as its more expensive than older tested software, I doubt a lot of people will get it, as octazen wont stand around watching you add features :D

You made me now think again about octazen because of the features lack, but still yours is more expensive :D I could integrate OpenInviter tho its so much pain...

i wanted this kind of mod but i was looking for some free stuff. this mod only provides two webmail providers and the paid version is too expensive.

i think if only 2 mail providers are included, then hassan's mod is better where we can invite friends manually.

Found the problem. There is no gmail.jpg in your forums/images folder.

Nice thinking behind the mod ... I saw all the discussion pages of this mod and think that it still needs to be more sorted out in terms of coding to ensure reliability ... Will install it only when many people have had a smooth, trouble free installation ...

Also, there have been a lot of requests for adding more services to the free version ... Personal advise, if you want to sell something, atleast offer enough so that people will use the free version and be tempted to buy the paid version ... I guess you could add Facebook to the free version easily as Facebook Connect is already available for vB. You won't be losing out much ... Also add Hotmail as a lot of people have said they won't even try it if hotmail isn't available in the free version ... I know you worked hard to make this, but it's going to be tough to sell it without reeling in some free users first ...

Try this :

1. Open ../scripts/gmail.php

2. Find : (Line 26)
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADERFUNCTION, 'read_header');

Add Below :

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0);


3. Open ../scripts/yahoo.php

4. Find : (Line 23)
curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION,$follow);

Add Below :

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0);

( a number we specify by possibly using the cron )

so, once someone has submitted a load of email addresses, the addresses go into a que and are sent via the set amount of allowed per hour ?

I would be more inclined to purchase the gold version if I were able to control the sending limit like that, otherwise I am risking my hosting.

Its because your webhost doesn’t give you the support of iconv() PHP function.
About this function on php.net :
You will need nothing if the system you are using is one of the recent POSIX-compliant systems because standard C libraries that are supplied in them must provide iconv facility. Otherwise, you have to get the ? libiconv library installed in your system.

To check if iconv() is available on your hosting, copy below code in 1 php file and execute it :

Ok, so when I tested this, after registration, it takes them to the "Final Step" which is the invitation screen, well after they've invited someone, there is NO url or link to go back to MY website. They have to actually go into the address bar and re-type my URL. How can I fix this? And is the Full version WORTH upgrading to?

Please check (Today's)updated version. And yes full version is more than worth upgrading to. It doesnt use iconv() library in any of the grabbers we are providing. :)

Has been fixed now. V 10 got delayed because of me getting tossed in to hospital. :(
You must have received V 10.0. If its not importing contacts then kindly contact us at our support email address or at Projects Planet forums.
The importer seems to work fine on our other client's websites.

As per my knowledge, i nevah came across any such free product.
Openinviter is providing it free because they are developing new CMS and this contacts inviter concept is gunna be there in it. So they are just testing it by releasing it free. In fact i myself contributed 2 grabbers to them back in a dayz.

I have installed this mod BUT when in the admincp I try and disable this hack to test the on/off function and when I click off and click save it reverts back to on? Also another issue I can that I want to add another usergroup such as premium members and give them 20 invites but when I add it the new group never shows up and no errors.

Another issue is that I cant get the registration intergration to work.
Finally last issue is that I dont have a cpanel so do I perform my cron jobs in VB? I have tried this but get an error when trying to run the crons.

I guess since they've obviously decided to no longer support their broken product, they've taken down their support forum as well:

Projects Planet is down for important server upgrades.

We were suffering few DoS attacks since day before yesterday. However there is 1% to 2% loss of data (Posts/Topics posted since 26/12/2009 to 1/1/2010 )

Heavy maintenance has been commenced on our distribution server. Hopefully we will be back till 3/1/2010 or max 4/1/2010.

When I went to http://www.mydomain.com/adiinviter.php it said that the page could not be displayed because it had an unsupported form of compression. And yes the forumpath was set correctly in adiinviter\config.php and I had modded it to 666.

It will give you registration_complete phrase. Click on Edit button.
Click on Copy Default Text button on left and click Save.

I paid $120 for this script (who also claim free lifetime updates), this person allows his customer to download the product package directly from his site, however, in the package itself, he's NOT including the invitation_verify.php file which basically makes this script pretty much useless.

Everytime I contacted the guy, and when he does response he always say he's on vacation or had an accident and need times to recover.

It takes him roughly 5-8 days to response... it's been over 2 months ( right now, I'm still waiting for his reply and it's almost been 16 days now, still no luck..).

I paid the payment via Paypal.

Can a USA sue a person from India for such case? If so, would I lose money or regain my benefits?

Please give some insight and put this to justice.

Yes it is such a shame that their support sucks and the product is buggy, Its even more of a shame as the potential for the product is massive, is one of those things that if it worked properly and was marketed properly could make the writers a lot of money because its something that nearly every community admin would want. Being able to invite friends is what made facebook and co the site that they are now.

I do not use the usual vBulletin navbar template so I need to manually add the links to either the UserCP or drop down menus on my site. What are the correct files to link to?

Can you please open 1 topic in AdiInviter customer support forum? actually this topic is fully dedicated to free version.
About your issue, i think you haven't updated to latest release yet. Please download product from customer downloads section and overwrite all files from folder "Upload" to your forum root replacing old files. After that, do import product xml file. You can remove all invitation brandings in an admincp adiinviter settings >> invitation message.
If that doesnt solve your problem then kindly open 1 topic in customer support section on Projects Planet forums.

These guys are a piece of work! I have the paid version...which stopped working before and after the update last summer (August 2012). I provided access to my forum so they could get their software to work. Which, they could not get it functioning. They said there is a conflict with their mod and others I am running. Fine, I removed it and moved on...really no big deal. Their mod was not used by my members to invite others and when I used it, it rarely resulted in a new member. I didn't give removing it a second thought last Summer.

I just happened to notice today that they had modified the the user title, homepage link, location, etc. of the temp admin account I set up for them to access my forum with links to their website. Is it just me, or is bad form for a developer to come in and customize a temporary admin profile with links to their own site? Seems like they should be spending their time working on getting their mod to work and not spam one of their clients. Am I off base here? We are talking about an admin account with a username of "admin". Clearly not an account that was intended to be linked with a homepage to adiinviter!

Then even after a screen shot showing their "spam", they accuse me of making it up! Seriously why would I randomly waste my time like that?

I wouldn't worry about the backlinks too much if they fix your issues. Maybe they like and want to be a regular part of the forum. You should really only work about backlinks if they are spammy.

Anyways, when they are done demote that account to a registered user until you need their assistance again.

Is the free version supposed to stop working after a certain period of time because the option to invite via yahoo & Google just disappeared. But I see the plugin still installed. This is weird.

Unless its functioning as designed. Please reply quick as possible. The other possibility I guess is a security breach that's changed permissions.
