For the first link, start here:

For the second, you might need to get more specific. At a glance I see a usergroup color bar/legend, a tag cloud, and they might be using a mod to align the subforums like that. There are probably others that I'm missing though.

I haven't had a need to use vBadvanced yet, so I'm definitely not the person to ask about this stuff :p But, at the bottom of the page is says "Powered by vBadvanced CMPS v3.0.1." I'm sure there are plenty of people here that can give more specific info on how they're using it though. :D
