There are no usergroup options to stop a user from being about to change their password or email.

Read the "unalterable users" section of config.php. ;)

Nope, but one could use conditionals to exclude certain usergroup(s) from seeing the "password change" boxes in the modifypassword template.

That's all the hints I'll give on this subject. ;)
