ok let say your forum have 5 Moderators, 3 Smod, 1 Admin etc.
1) If some of your staff volunteer to instant support via YIM. ( that mean you have to set permission to all User Group Allowed to view )
2) You can set this by User Group ID Allowed to view, like your customers etc.
Installation.
1).
Import Product via Manage Product
Admincp >> Plugins & Products >> Manage Products >> [Add/Import Product]
2). Go to vB Option to set up.
you are done and have fun!

I think he means if you show WHO is online on forum.. but ONLY staff.
I think there is a hack that does what he wants. I forgot the name, but it's and old one? I think it's called split who's online.
Anyways RL714 good work!

What template does this mod work with so that I can change the location of where it shows up on the page? I'd like to move it to the bottom, thanks.

Installed and works beautifully.... except when you choose 'all pages' it puts it on pages TWICE, one on top of the other
*goes to edit templet by hand

I changed the 'look' of mine a bit myself (added some spaces between the icons and the next name to space it out a bit more & changed the 'title' at the top) via forumhome_vietbb_yahoo template (in Forum Home Templates)
An easy way to find the various template names is in vbOptions: temporarily choose 'yes' to show template names in html, then load the vb page choose 'view>page source' (depending on your browser), the full html will open in a window showing all the templates used (as well as the html code within each template). Just be sure to turn that option back to 'no' when you are through.
gsmlover4u: I believe it's only for Yahoo.
One note to make: If your 'staff' have their YIM Privacy preferences set to *not* allow websites to show when they are online then their icon in this mod will be the 'offline' one.

I'd love to see something like this for X-Fire since my community uses that primarily.

Hmmm.... I assume Forum Nick is the name of the user on the forum and Yahoo nick is the Yahoo user name? Also, There are 10 fields available. I only have a few mods that use Yahoo. Can you add or subtract to the list?
