Introduction
This is the SEO friendly yet Advanced AJAX powered Musicbox by DnP Network?. It is found by Silveryhat in the late 2008 and early 2009. The original version was first use way back in the '06 or '07 with limited functions and no ajax support. A serious upgrade and rebuilding have been made few weeks ago for this release. Main goal was to make it faster and compatible with all vBulletin forums. This project is the hard work of Silveryhat and DnP Administrator of DnP Network?, we wish to bring the best to the vB community https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ . DnP Instant! Musicbox is free for non-commercial, non-profit use. Otherwise, please read the Notice at the end of this post.

Requirements
- Host supports AJAX
- Administrator skill level should be intermediate for you must know what you are doing.

Simplified 2-Step Installation :
1. Upload all files and folders under the "upload" folder to your forum root.

2. Run forum_root/install_dnp_musicbox.php to setup new tables to your database. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ This little friendly webpage is also AJAX supported. Delete it after you have finished installing the data.

[Note] : For Unix host, please make sure the folder you have uploaded the musicbox content to is CHMOD to 666 or 777 (writable) if you receive a permission error during installation.
And, That's all for the installation step!

Customizations :

Now proceed to AdminCP ? DnP Musicbox Options to add new categories, artists (optional), and albums (optional).*
Use the Configuration Editor from Musicbox Homepage ? Administrator's Quick Panel to customize the your personal musicbox ! There is no manual template change needed, unless you would want a musicbox link to show on navigation bar (http://www.silveryhat.com/delynie/f130/how-to-and-f-a-q-for-dnp-instant-musicbox-6868.html), too.

Do you mean downloading music from something like an iTunes store? NO.

This musicbox is empty, admin would be the one who submits songs/clips to the database for forum members to enjoy..They can download what was submitted.

No they cannot upload any file directly to your server. In fact, I have removed that feature in this version because, I know it's not ready to pass the security matter yet. They can link to the file except php,asp,js are not allowed by default.

Category Level 1 is considered as Parent Category therefore it cannot be used. Create a sub-category under it and you are set. Currently it only supports 2 Levels of Category.

3 - Hey how I post youtube video clip?
On the Post page there are four small buttons next to the URL box, with the icons of Youtube, Metacafe,Dailymotion and Googlevideo. If a youtube link looks like this

Imagine how a mess it would become if one member adds "Lady Gaga" , then another adds "ladyGaga" and his friend who also plays the forum does "Gaga lady", but a random member does not like those names and wants to do "Gaga my luv" for himself while a noob dont know wat and dont know how where he accidentally creates "Lazy haha" into the list.. The same reason applies for Album records therefore only Admin can create the artist and album. It might be a hard work but you want your musicbox looks good with working portraits and correct information.

5 - silveryhat I cannot edit any song I post, a no permission page appears, are they gonna be perpetual that way now :( ?

I have several questions that I will ask later, but I would like to know now why the mod does not recognize me as an admin when logged into it on my board? There is nowhere for me to administrate the mod outside of the admincp. How do you delete uploads that you may want removed?

:D I'm building up the F.A.Q part above daily so one day it could be enough information to redo as an instruction. The reason there isn't one yet is because I'm lazy $_$ , I can code for a long time but typing article is really not my type.

Anyway about the level control you tackle about, by default the musicbox only considers groupid 6 as the administrator. I'd add an option to define other Admin groups in next release. Also to delete or edit a song, take a look at screenshot number 4 on the first post where it shows picture of lady gaga. Next to the share link at the bottom of the player are two buttons that say Delete and Edit which they only appears to poster of the song and admin.

Lucky I make the edit part AJAX free so in case of broken song can be edited with regular link.

You should see the id of the song in the status bar when you move your mouse over the link of that song. The reason the song does not show up is because it belongs to a parent category. Refer to F.A.Q question 2 to change it. Next update I'd include a clearer message for administrator to edit it. Thanks

I took a screen shot of what it looks like when I'm viewing your mod from my end. If you compare my image attachment to yours, you will notice there is some differences. My image looks more squeezed compared to yours. Look at the "Not Working?, Who like it?, and Option section on both images.

I hope this can get straightened out. If this mod requires my members to add extensions or plug-ins to their browsers I will of coarse have to not use the mod.

Oh don't worry about the compact of blocks and letters on your view because my screen stretches at 1600x900 so there it makes the difference , just a bit more space on the horizon.

Unfortunately, this MOD requires Windows Media Plugin plugin and Adobe Flash Player plugin to display the player, which are 2 of the most common browser plugins on the entire Internet. Everyone who has once visit youtube for a clip has Adobe Flash player plugin, everyone who has Windows Media player on their machine or Quicktime on Mac, you be able to play the audio files with the supported plugin.

In your case, it is a client bug as I mention earlier. Luckily, it is a known bug : http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=532652 , you can take a look of that or try the Portable firefox 3.0.11 (http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable) or Firefox 3.5 (http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.5rc2&os=win&lang=en-US), on other hand I will take note of this and getting ready for an option to switch to a different audio player for those who cant get the regular media plugin to work properly.

For the most common formats found on the web (like mp3, midi, mpg, wav, etc.) you will need to install and configure Quicktime or Quicktime Alternative."

Those messy words, are actually the extra part of
playlist_button
in the configuration editor. Put only this for the image url and you will be just fine

Hi Silvery hat this mod is awesome but i have some question sin mind please answer them

1. when we play any video or audio song in DNP Music box will it use our server bandwidth?
2. If we are embedding a link for e.g if we embed a link of nay song from you tube and put it in the DNP Music box will such a video going to be copyrighted or not? in the read me you wrote this
