How do you delete templates in the style manager?

Turn on debug mode in your admincp, go to styles and templates and open up the master template and revert the template you want to delete. Beware, this action can not be undone

If you are just talking about templates you added yourself, there is no need to go into debug mode, just select the template from the list and hit revert.
