I want to get a new header designed for my forum and I don't have the skills to do it myself.

Unfortunately I've very little experience of outsourcing design work and would welcome your feedback on my design spec.

Forum Header Required for BusinessAdviceForum.com

The header colour and layout must be complementary to the current forum theme
Must include a Nav Bar, the existing Nav Bar will be replaced
Include a professional logo with the text ?Business Advice Forum?
Include a network link bar, menu tabs or additional Nav Bar for external sites or areas such as ?Directory? & ?Blog?. Links must be in text format. It must be possible to add additional links using HTML & CSS without resorting to a graphics programme
Use as low a file size as possible, to facilitate slow Internet connections
Have a business & professional feel
The header can utilise the full screen width and must resolve correctly at all screen resolutions, including 800 x 600
The header (logo and additional nav bar) area must not be too high ? probably somewhere between 70 & 140 pixels high.

Do you feel that my requirements are practical and include all the information a designer would need?

I'm considering running a contest and I feel that a prize around $100 would be a fair price to pay for this type of work. What do you think?

Any suggestions as to how I can improve my chances of getting a good design would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, don't think you'd do too great with a contest so they can do a lot of work and maybe be compensated for it.
