What does this symbol mean?

I have few members, who in the list of online users, have a "+" next to their username.
I haven't seen this before.
These members also happen to be moderators.
Is this a symbol that denotes them as a moderator?
We're running both vBulletin and vbAdvanced.
I have RTFM and can't seem to find a listing for it.
