Email for New Threads

Not sure anyone can help in just one forum I keep getting emails notifcations for each you new thread, I have checked the settings for everything it is switched off when I view permissions for the forum, even show all mods -- edit permissions is switched off, would anyone know where or how or what to look for to sort this thanks, it just fills my email and I need to stop it if possible
