Thread stays on the home page after deleting it

Hello,
Yesterday my forum was invaded by some spammer,
I deleted all the posts post made by him, but the threads title is displayed on the forum home page under "last post". How do i get rid of it??

Try going to your admincp > maintenance > update counters > and rebuild forum and thread information
