Why is vBadvanced installed? What is the purpose of a "portal" for your site?

As it stands, from a guest view, this layout would scare me away in a heartbeat. There's no obvious link to the forums (people don't look at side bar columns for navigation if there's a more prominent one in the header), there's two login forms on the same page (annoying, and possibly misleading), there's irrelevant blocks (calendar and site navigation), and there's blocks that are displayed on your forum home page anyways.

From what I can see, vBadvanced offers you absolutely no benefits. I would make your site just be forums. If you eventually want a cms, I'd use something more flexible than vBa.

Aside from that, the forum colors, while they work, are a bit distracting. The contrast isn't that great. Your thead class with the dark background, the maroon text, and the orange border.. that just doesn't look good to me, and the maroon text over black is pretty difficult to read.

I recommend taking a color you like, and searching colourlovers.com for a palette that would be easier on the eyes.
