This is a fairly new forum. We're only about 4 months old. The forum was created for glass and jewelry artists. This is the first forum I've ever built so I'm new to all of this.

I would love some constructive criticism as to how we're doing so far. How does the layout look. How does the forum and category structure and content look. Etc.

I would say you need a better color scheme and a better logo. Maybe get some better looking ads to replace the current ads you are using.

:)

Good luck on your site.

I think you've picked a perfect domain name. It sounds cool, it's memorable, and descriptive all in one.

I like your logo. You might be able to take what you have to a design consultant and have them do a really polished version of what you already have. I think it might look slightly better if you boost the size a little and let it fit into the background color instead of the white box surround it.

Cool favicon also.

I would like to see something linked at the top that says "What are torch bugs?" that links to a page describing you guys, and then starts linking to some of the best articles/threads you have on the site to help direct first time visitors.

Thank you all for looking and responding.

The ads come from the businesses who advertise with us. We don't design them. I can hardly say to any of them, Hey, your ad isn't pretty enough, could you change it?" So those will stay as they are.

Jward, I like your idea of putting up a link to a page that describes what Torchbugs are with links to some of the best threads.

I plan to eventually have a home page for Torchbugs with more info and Artists of the month sections etc. I can include the "what we are" info on there I think.

Thank you all. :)
