Thanks for the review, heres yours...
It's pretty basic, my site isn't even done yet...I got a bunch of junk to do yet that I don't even wana do anymore. I feel burnt out...Its all about how much money you wana spend and how capable you are at editing php...moving this or that/adding this or that. The boards there, it just needs a wow factor...Redo the logo if you have photoshop, Browse for a style...or if you have photoshop...Start modifying/making header style images. Check out the Graphics section here at vb...Find new buttons and icon sets, that?s and easy turn around, just upload um. It's a forum, the more fancy it looks the more pro it looks...Which hopefully will entice people to join n so on...It's really just a matter of how much time you have to piss around with it...I don't have a job right now...So yea...I guess I got nothing better to do. lol. :(

I very much dislike landing pages, i would nix that first, bt before you do.....take it's style and apply it to your site!
The landing page LOOKS good, i like the colors and fonts and all a lot.
Find a good looking template for your site, it can be free, just get the general layout you like.
then customize it to fit the color scheme of that landing page. change the background to black, make the header image like the landing page with your keywords all different directions and make your forum name stand out....etc etc
it will look sweet, if you need help PM me.

I originally had a black background with the Header using the same font as the splash. But after a couple people commented on it, i got discouraged and went as basic as possible. :erm: I think really, I just need a good custom skin too. I'd really like to have a front page similar to TalkDelaware (specifly things like the tags box and maybe a weather box too).

Your landing page should have relevant content. You want people to get as much info as possible but without overloading them. I would change it, make it clean and maybe add a recent topics hack, etc...
Im not a big fan of full width pages. But thats my opinion. Fix the width to 800-900px. colors are ok, but it does not stand out to me. Make your site stand out! :)
Also, keep everything flowing. All pages should share the same layout and color theme, etc...
Here's a logo I made real quick 4 the fun of it...You can have it if you like it.
The stroke is too much. I would also not use a full image as the background. Have it fade out to a matching board color.

I dont mean this in a rude - insulting way - but your site is almost 1 year old and it looks like you have done nothing with it.
Part of the site looks like one theme, another part of the site looks like another theme.
You have some kind of interactive map that is loading in the threads? That is going to slow down dial up users.
The link on the home page that goes to the forum is barely visible. If you want a landing page, install wordpress. Wordpress will give you a lot more options then a static html page.
Maybe add a rental property section and a classifieds section.

Thanks for the Wordpress idea. I'll look into it. As far as the site being as old and not nearly done, I never intended on it being a big thing, so I didn't think to give it a proper skin. Now that I've given it a little more thought, its on the ever expanding "to-do" list.

A forum is never finished. Its always a work in progress with constant updates and modifications.

I've redone the site from stem to stern. Please comment on the new style and other suggestions/criticisms about the website itself are MUCH appreciated.
