Here's a very simple mini-mod that will resize all images in posts & signatures by using a max-width css attribute, along with an onclick function to open the normal-sized picture in a new window.

This product is super simple and has only a few lines of code. Keep in mind that as far as I know, max-width still gets rendered a tad off on IE (not much of a fan with ie anyway, but that's beside the point) on certain versions. Although i tested on IE7 with only a few images and it didn't look so bad at all. Perfect for me on firefox, chrome, etc.

If you're looking for something with a bit more options and functionality (javascript effects, more options, etc.) please take a look at:
Image Resizer (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=118048).

Install
1. Import Product
2. Set a Maximum Width in Admincp, under Quick Auto Image-Resize (Posts & Signature)

This really is just a simple mini-mod. Nothing too fancy at all. Had someone who wanted the resizing done strictly with css and suggested I do something like this and offer it as well - so here ya go.

Can someone link over a thread with an example? I'm testing on a client's website ATM, but it basically just resizes the image and allows you to click on 'em.

this only control the width, are there any hope to control image hight and with ?

I'll try and incorporate a max-height in there as well sometime, when I get a chance.

No problem! I'll probably be updating this with pm's and albums soon enough. Will keep you posted.

1. Has the "Automatic Height Adjuster" been added yet?

2. Is it possible to correct the following?..

Where exactly do I find the settings for this Hack in my AdminCP? This is the first Hack/Mod I've ever installed. I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly because it's showing up when I click on "Manage Products", but am not sure where to find it in the menu to adjust my sizes.

Thanks and sorry for being a newb:D

Awesome MOD.
Simple and efficient. The images resize muuuuuuuch faster than "Image Resizer".

For those interested, I made a modification to the MOD so it now has separate fields for POST and SIGNATURE images. (check the attachment)

Will try to work on a version that allows to set the height too.
All credits still remains to the original developer.

I got it to resize the reply template. It's not perfect as I had to hardcode the width size (it wouldn't read $this->registry->options['gquick_autoresize_maxwidth'] for some reason?) If anyone figures that out post up.

Just upload this plugin and it will add itself to the Quick Auto Image-Resize (Posts & Signature) product and resize all images to 600 width. If you want to change the 600 edit the plugin named Auto Resize Replies and change the 600 to whatever you want.

So does this mod make every image click-able by default or is that an error only in a few cases? I would not want all images (smilies, quote images, etc...) to be click-able... also seemed someone had an issue uninstalling so I'm hesitant to install if that is the default behavior.

I too was annoyed by the auto-linking of every image, including smilies etc. The way to remove this behavior is to remove the two occurrences of the following code bits:

cursor: pointer;

onclick="window.open(this.src)"

The two bits appear once for posts and once for signatures, do remove them accordingly,

Save the XML file and upload the product, allowing to overwrite. Voila!

Removing these code bits...

cursor: pointer;

Is this character for character? I think I might have removed too much. The picture went bye bye.

I did however rename the original xml file before I edited it, so I'm good there.

I'd like to modify this to do a % resize instead of a pixel resize. it doesn't work in firefox - the firefox browser resizes the image to the specified percentage of the original image size not to a percentage of the post table size.

Any thoughts on how to get around that?

Hey guys I am trying to get the modification to accept a % instead of a fixed px width - it's working awesomely in Chrome and IE however in Firefox it doesn't seem to resize the inline images correctly and overflows.

I am wondering if the issue is with display:block

I've tried using display:block in this way but still no success...

$postmessage = str_replace('<img', '<img style="display:block;max-width: ' . $this->registry->optionsgquick_autoresize_maxwidth . '%; cursor: pointer;" onclick="window.open(this.src)" ', $postmessage);

Any ideas?
