Help! Need to Change homepage of Forums

My forum is installed in the root of the server. I now need to install Wordpress as a homepage for my forum. What is the best way to go about it? I definitely shouldn't move my forum to a subfolder right? Else i'll lose all my indexed links on Search Engines. So what can i do??

You may change the name of your index.php page for your forums to something like "forums.php" and then change it also in vboptions > forum home options > script name for forum home page
