I'm sure this was brought up before but is anyone else getting tired of seeing the same mod authors post 4 different threads for 3.5,3.6,3.7,3.8 just because it works with all 3.x versions? I sure as hell am.

Not sure of the resolution to this but it would be nice if there was only one thread unless the code changes per version.

This is actually the "recommended" way of releasing for lack of a better system.

maybe, but the orginal poster is correct - its very annoying to say the least.
Anyone else find it annoying as well ????

Why not just have a check box that they tick saying it works on all versions etc as basically most of the time there is no difference in the code at all.

Because when I look for a mod, I don't go to the 3.6 section when I'm running 3.8.2. And folks that are running 3.6 don't necessarily go to the 3.8 section when looking for a modification.

probably because there is a 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 modification section.

I do find it annoying but have also found it useful in searches but that being said if a mod works in 3.8 and a coder hasnt realeased a new 3.8 section modification, but instead just updated his eg 3.5 mod saying it also works in 3.6,7,8, that wouldnt show up in searches

I supppose its swings and roundabouts :D

oh, I hate that

the mod system here is so archaic - it's time for something fresh

well they need to have a seperate mod box on index page for all different versions of vbull then.

Why not just have a single mod forum and prefixed version numbers?

Or make the "Version" field searchable would resolve the issue Biker discusses.
