Getting Disconnecting

hello all

i have few problems on my forums,
no1. i have upgraded from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2 and when i login to the forums control pannel it still says that your current version is 3.8.1.
no2. i am keep getting disconnected, every single step it asks me to enter username and password.

Can some one help me please.

no1 - did you run the upgrade.php script ? and upload the new files?

no2 - disconnected from where?
