When somebody makes use of this function, the link takes them to a "wrong page" with no functionality to request a passowrd reminder.
The link goes to some kind of a forum home page, but when one clicks on any forum thread/item a screen with "What's going on" information.
It used to work untill now when somebody complained and I tried myself to make use of the feature I got the same issue.
An ideas?
PS: I know this is probably a bit vague but I don't know how to better describe it.....

1. link to site with issue.
2. create a test account so someone can try it for themselves & post the test account login info here.

Thanks for the quick response:
Yesterday I created a dummy account to check if registration works properly and it worked fine. Now that I tried to creat a test account for "you" to help check for me, clicking on the confirmation link caused the same problem.....
The site is at http://www.winebyme.co.za/sawineforum/index.php
I have created a username Test. You can use this to try and request a password reminder and see what happens.
Herein might be a clue:
When I followed the link in the confirmation email it ende up with this link:
http://www.winebyme.co.za/sawineforum/index.php/register.php?a=act&u=218&i=20695123
I think the bit "index.php" might be superfluous.........? If that is the problem, how do I get rid of it.
I have manually activated the username "Test" for you to be able to try requesting a passowrd reminder to experience the problem......

from the looks of things, your custom style is the issue, as your also missing images in the style, the link for the image is incorrect also.
what is your forum url set to in the admincp vb options forum url?
it should not contain the index.php in the url address there.

Hi Anthony
Thank you so much for your response!! It is much appreciated.
I am not too sure what the meaning/implication of the first part of your reply (your custom style is the issue, as your also missing images in the style, the link for the image is incorrect also) is. I am not too clued up on these techie things:o
But somehow at some stage I managed to slip in "index.php" in the url address in the admincp.
I have changed this, and this seemed to have resolved my issue.
I will keep a close eye on happenings to see if all is sorted.

smooth red is set as the forums default style, its missing images, who's online gif etc, correct the image path issues in that style as well.
your welcome.
