iTrader 2.5.x

The former iTrader version released here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=182400 is now in the graveyard, and even if people don't know why it was posted there, the reason is this actual release. In the last months, i took-over Jason's work, and rebuilt a new version (upgrade and new), so the engine is easier to support, have more features, packed with all known additions and is debugged as much as possible.

This is my first release on vb.org for ages, not the last one. i'm actually tagging this release as supported, but this is only for DEBUG. features requests and customizations will have to be made on the official site.

So, what is iTrader:This is a rating system for when members buy / sell / trade items from each other (presumably on a FS section of your forum). It is somewhat based on the honor system since there is no automatic way to truly tell if they did engage in a transaction. iTrader came about because it was a pain to try and maintain a single thread listing good / bad traders and so far has worked out quite well.

As announced last month, here we are today with the launch of the next generation of iTrader, version 2.5.0.

The tradition continue, we're proud to announce that vbEnhancer is now the official host of iTrader, with a new structure, more addons and a cleaner code for the future versions.

This is just an update, because for 2.5.0 we were focussing in centralizing all the existing addons for the old 2.1 version, and we made it clear that it would be easier with a smooth update for the existing clients and an easy spleen for the new players.

So, what do we get in the box?

Refurbished templates, with new icons for ranking (positive, negative, neutral)

The thumbnail attached shows the extensive list of settings you can manage thru the regular path. as you can see, some new features have settings in the bottom of that page, they are good to look at.

And here is the form you see when you submit a new feedback regarding one of the transaction you've been involved in.

You want to upgrade, or install as new?

Easy, if you have not used any of the addons released on vBulletin.org, you simply have to upload all the new files, overwriting the old ones, and uploadthe product file, allow overwriting the product, so it upgrade to the latest.

If you have used any addon that required template edits, like the old version of Giologist Profile block or his Main Page, or if you used MagnetiCat's Profile Tab, you will need to uninstall these first, and hopefully, we provide all these versions in the Jason's iTrader Archive forum on top of this... (just follow the opposite of the instructions!)

So, that's it... there is not much new instructions, as now the entire engine is self documented... I'm reading this thread for questions, but the technical support (customization etc) will be given only on http://vbEnhancer.com... but also, what's fun, is that we ask for your requests, suggestions, needs; because we want to make the engine even better for the next version, which will jump to number 3.0 ...

Fixes:
1- no version change, but fixed Forums Where Feedback Score is shown, thanks to breakpoint for reporting (http://vbenhancer.com/itrader/itrader-version-2-5-0-new/4783/#post20587) bug!
2- no version change, but fixed a database error when submiting feedback, thanks to gronph for reporting (http://vbenhancer.com/itrader/itrader-version-2-5-0-new/4783/sayfa2.html#post20618) bug!
3- no version change, but fixed a typo that was causing to display no link in the postbit and no % of rating. you have to re-import the product file, nothing else!
4- no version change, but fixed a database error when submiting negative feedback, thanks to breakpoint for reporting (http://vbenhancer.com/itrader/itrader-version-2-5-0-new/4783/sayfa12.html#post20865) bug! (was reported 3 times more, but never had the error, so was unable to fix!)
5- no version change, fixed an existing array_merge that was making CMPS unhappy... thanks to gnatster (http://vbenhancer.com/members/gnatster/) for reporting it!

for people having the old version installed on their site, you DO NOT NEED to uninstall the old version... if you do, you loose all feedbacks. just update, like anyother update.

also, as indicated at my official site, i'm not supporting the old version or any older vBulletin but the 3.8.x ... the original 2.1.0 version is working fine on 3.7 and older:

i am not supporting vB 3.6.x, but the engine will do fine... you just have to edit the product-itrader.xml file and change the line <dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="3.8.0" maxversion="" />to this: <dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="3.6.0" maxversion="" />

just installed , but when i go to the community drop down menu and click on itrader , it gives me a blank page

i got Vb 3.8.2 , and a new installation for this mod did not have old version , installation went smooth no errors , uploaded the files and followed the instruction as mentioned above , any hint ?

i re upload the files and override the old one from first installation , feed back score show up in the profile perfect but , when you click on View full profile for username or click on itrader in the community drop down menu vb showing the message as "you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:"

Two users on my forum have just completed as deal but only one of them put the url to the thread, i tried to edit and add the url to the feedback with no url but i just keep getting "The deal URL is invalid!" but it's the correct url. :confused:

Just another little error i found, you need to put a space just before the username on the submit feedback & edit feedback page. If you look at your screen shot it says "Submit Feedback ForDrew" ;)

There is an option for that, in you Vb options under "Show iTrader Stats in Memberinfo", you may choose the first tab, the last one or, even, no tab.

sure you can, you jut have to not activate the full menu of the navbar and that's it, the other details will not show.

With the previous version of iTrader, it wouldn't work with vBSEO, so I had to have someone modify files to allow them to submit a rewritten URL.

Is there any chance of this being added into the actual system?

Hum, vbSEO... it's a paid product, isn't it... ask them to work a solution for you, you paid for it... i have no ability to code a solution for vbSEO as i'm not part of their team and i'm not paid to help them... sorry

Just have a look, on the previous page, to the post number 28. It's all explained.

Found how to deal with it:

"Feedback Score" is a phrase, you can change it as you want... (just search these words)

for the other details, hum, you can edit the product plugin named "postbit_display_complete"

search for this term: postbit_userinfo_left
and change to: postbit_userinfo_right_after_posts
