Set the time limit really large - vboptions > message posting > time limit to edit post title (do not set to 0 as 0 is not unlimited in that field)

I don't know what you mean. Perhaps an image would help.

Title is edited via Thread Tools at the top of the first post.

They should be able to, unless you've turned editing off via UserGroups.

They can if they have permission to and it will only give them access to the thread tools they are approved to use.

You need to set the Time Limit in the option I talked about to a large number.

Time Limit on Editing of Thread Title
This setting is the number of minutes in which a user may edit the title of a thread that he starts, and have it apply to the thread listing screen (forumdisplay). After this time period, the change will only apply to the title shown in the first post of the thread. (Administrators and moderators with permission may always edit the title of the thread as shown on forumdisplay through the Edit Thread function.)

ok, I understand!
What I did was put in '0 ' thinking that it was unlimited. Already got a really big number and solved!
Again, thank you for your patience
